bet365 has confirmed its entry into Alberta’s newly regulated iGaming market, marking another significant step in the operator’s expanding Canadian presence.
The UK-headquartered gambling giant joins Alberta’s market from day one, giving customers in the province access to its full sportsbook and online casino product suite.
Alberta’s iGaming market officially went live on 13 July, with as many as 70 operator sites having expressed interest in participating ahead of launch day.
bet365 was among several operators confirmed live and taking bets by 7:00am MT, alongside Caesars Entertainment, DraftKings, PENN Entertainment, and Rush Street Interactive.
The Alberta Gaming Corporation was set to publish a definitive list of active operators later on launch day, as the newly established market began taking shape in real time.
Alongside its Alberta debut, bet365 has secured a partnership with the Canadian Football League, becoming an official sports betting and online casino partner of the CFL in both Ontario and Alberta.
The deal will see bet365 featured across CFL content, broadcast-visible media, digital storytelling, and selected fan activations throughout the season.
The partnership arrives ahead of the 113th Grey Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Calgary on 15 November 2026, giving the agreement immediate relevance for Canadian football fans.
bet365 is currently live across 17 US states, and its established presence in Ontario means the brand may already be familiar to many Canadian residents considering registering in Alberta.
The operator’s sportsbook will offer live betting, Early Payout, and its Sub On Play On promotion, which transfers selected player prop bets to a substitute when the original player is replaced.
Sub On Play On generated approximately £30m in payouts globally during the first 10 days of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, demonstrating the promotion’s considerable popularity with bettors worldwide.
bet365 will compete not only with other private operators in Alberta but also with the government-owned Play Alberta platform, which already has an established foothold with local customers.
The operator has long been considered one of a small number of UK-based firms to find genuine success in North America, and its Alberta launch reinforces that standing in the region.
