Esportes Gaming Brasil, the operator behind brands such as Onabet and Esportes da Sorte, has announced the appointment of Ana Carolina Luna Maçães as its new Compliance Manager — a move that underscores the company’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and robust governance within Brazil’s rapidly evolving betting industry.

Ana Carolina Luna Maçães, who steps into the role as Head of Compliance, shared her thoughts on joining the organisation:

“Esportes Gaming Brasil has set a high standard in Brazil’s betting market with its total commitment to integrity, governance, and responsible gaming. It’s a privilege to join this exceptional team as Compliance Manager. My role is to reinforce our culture of compliance, navigating us through complex regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions with as little friction as possible. Our mission is to deliver secure, transparent, and competitive services for our partners and clients.”

Bringing extensive experience in legal and compliance matters, Maçães previously held a position at NSX Brasil and has developed specialist knowledge in financial crime prevention, corporate ethics, and responsible gambling. She also holds a CPC-A certification from LEC (Legal, Ethics & Compliance), making her a valuable addition to the company’s internal compliance structure.

Darwin Filho, CEO of Esportes Gaming Brasil, welcomed the appointment, stating:

“It’s more than just complying with and supporting regulations. Esportes Gaming Brasil has been actively leading the process of maturing the betting sector in the country. Our commitment to governance has been an essential part of our business model since the beginning. The arrival of Ana Carolina represents a strategic reinforcement, further strengthening the culture of compliance that has always guided the company.”

Esportes Gaming Brasil is one of the licensed operators under Brazil’s SPA/MF regulatory framework. The group is widely recognised for its impactful responsible gaming initiatives, including behavioural monitoring, self-exclusion tools, and a comprehensive support network for players at risk.

With a strong digital presence through Onabet and deep-rooted partnerships across Brazilian football and cultural initiatives, Esportes Gaming Brasil continues to invest in shaping a safe, sustainable, and regulated future for the national gaming landscape.
