The merger between Banijay Entertainment and All3Media has officially completed, creating the world’s largest independent production company headquartered in London.
The combined entity, valued at $8 billion, is jointly owned by Banijay Group and RedBird IMI, each holding a 50% stake in the business.
The deal was first announced in March 2026 and has now closed, bringing together two of the most significant forces in global independent content production.
The newly formed group spans 25 territories and holds one of the largest independent content catalogues in the entire entertainment industry.
That catalogue amounts to more than 265,000 hours of content, including titles such as MasterChef, The Traitors, Big Brother, Peaky Blinders, Survivor, and Deal or No Deal.
Marco Bassetti, previously CEO of Banijay Entertainment, steps into the role of CEO for the newly combined group going forward.
Jane Turton, formerly CEO of All3Media, becomes Deputy CEO of the merged business, and will be based in London alongside Bassetti.
Jeff Zucker, CEO of RedBird IMI, takes up the position of Chairman of the Board for the new combined entity.
Zucker said: “The completion of this merger marks a new era in global entertainment and creates a new independent leader in that category.”
He added: “With Marco and Jane, we have the finest leadership team anywhere, and I am excited to watch the company grow.”
Zucker also noted the milestone this represents for RedBird IMI itself, stating it was significant “in only its third year, to play such a leading role on the global entertainment stage.”
Francois Riahi, CEO of Banijay Group, offered his own assessment, saying: “This merger marks a defining milestone in Banijay Group’s history.”
On a combined basis, the new Banijay Entertainment would have generated over €4.3 billion in revenues and over €0.7 billion in adjusted EBITDA in 2025.
The group expects to achieve cost synergies of approximately €50 million within one year of the merger closing.
The merger also brings together two major distribution operations, with All3Media International led by Louise Pedersen holding over 30,000 hours, and Banijay Rights, helmed by Cathy Payne, holding over 220,000 hours.
RedBird IMI, backed by Emirati royal Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, originally acquired All3Media for £1.15 billion in 2024 before pursuing the Banijay combination.
The newly merged business will continue to operate Banijay Entertainment’s decentralised, country CEO-driven model across its global footprint.
