FairPlay Sports Media, the company behind the Oddschecker odds comparison platform, has named Hannah Buitekant as its new Chief Growth Officer.
Buitekant joins the c-level team with a brief to lead the execution of FPSM’s growth strategy across both its media partners and iGaming operators.
She will take a central role in building out FPSM’s go-to-market engine as the company looks to expand into new markets and sports verticals.
Her responsibilities will also include overseeing customer success, account management, and product sales capabilities across the business.
Buitekant brings nearly two decades of experience in digital businesses, having focused on commercial transformations and strategic partnerships across media and technology sectors.
Her longest tenure at any single company was a 12-year spell at dmg media, publisher of the Daily Mail, Metro, i newspaper, and New Scientist magazine.
She most recently held the title of Chief Commercial Digital and Strategy Officer at dmg media before making the move to FPSM.
Buitekant joins the firm over two and a half years after FPSM rebranded from its original identity as the Oddschecker Group, signalling a sharper focus on data-led and technology-led strategy.
On her appointment, Buitekant said: “What really drew me in is that FairPlay Sports Media has advanced technology and AI solutions that redefine how value flows between consumers, media and operators.”
She added: “These solutions aren’t just transactional, they are built to keep consumers coming back, which is what drives stronger, more durable outcomes for our partners and iGaming operators.”
Buitekant also outlined her immediate priorities, saying: “My priority is converting FPSM’s platform and product investment into the engine that generates high-value consumer relationships, and I’m looking forward to working with the team and our partners/customers to realise the full potential of this market-leading AI powered technology.”
Group CEO Stuart Simms welcomed the appointment, saying: “Hannah is a fantastic addition to our executive team at FairPlay Sports Media.”
Simms continued: “Her track record speaks for itself; she has performed in evolving markets, overcoming sector challenges to deliver consistent growth with an acute eye on finding new engagement and partnership opportunities.”
He also highlighted how her expertise would support the company’s broader ambitions, noting that her skills in driving commercial transformation would be invaluable as FPSM scales its AI-powered technology and data platform across international markets.
