BETBY, the B2B sportsbook supplier, has unveiled its SlotBets Games category as a major new product designed to merge live sports betting with casino mechanics.
The company used SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 as the platform to showcase what it describes as one of its most ambitious product launches to date.
BETBY occupied stand C206 at the event, hosting a dedicated SlotBets press conference in Auditorium III at the Media Hub during the summit.
The session was led by Chris Nikolopoulos, Chief Commercial Officer at BETBY, who presented the commercial vision behind the product and conducted a live demonstration.
Special guests from BETBY’s partner network also attended the press conference, sharing their perspectives on how SlotBets fits within different operator strategies.
BETBY SlotBets is built around short betting rounds tied directly to live sporting action, blending real-match events with familiar casino mechanics such as reels, winning combinations, and multipliers.
In SlotBasketball, the product’s first real-sports application, each 15-second round is divided into three five-second windows, with the highest-value event in each window determining one reel.
The final combination is generated by the match itself rather than a random number generator, giving the experience a genuine live sports foundation beneath its casino-style presentation.
BETBY describes the act of playing SlotBets as “slotbetting,” positioning it as a brand-new gameplay category designed to “slotify” sports betting for a broad audience.
Kirill Nekrasov, Head of Innovation and R&D at BETBY, explained the thinking behind the product’s creation and the industry gap it was built to address.
“SlotBets came from a very clear industry problem,” Nekrasov said, noting that sportsbook and casino often sit next to each other but the player experience between the two remains very different.
“We wanted to create something that feels immediately familiar to a casino player while remaining genuinely powered by live sport,” he added, describing this as the origin of the slotifying concept.
The product directly targets a long-standing commercial challenge in iGaming, namely the limited natural cross-sell that exists between sportsbook and casino player bases.
SlotBets is designed to give casino-first players an intuitive entry point into live sports engagement while offering sportsbook users a faster and more continuous form of interaction with live events.
BETBY’s broader ambition is for SlotBets Games to develop its own recognisable mechanics and player expectations, much as Crash Games emerged as a distinct iGaming category in their own right.
Beyond SlotBets, BETBY also showcased its wider platform solutions at the summit, including BETBY Predictions and the BETBY Games esports betting portfolio.
