DragonBet has entered a long-term technology partnership with BVGroup, moving its online sportsbook and casino operations onto the BV:360 platform.
The migration programme is already underway, with a planned launch date set for the first quarter of 2027, according to both companies.
DragonBet joins a growing BVGroup portfolio that includes flagship brand BetVictor, alongside Parimatch UK, Betano UK and talkSPORT BET, among others.
The operator will leverage BVGroup’s sportsbook, casino, player account management, payments and compliance capabilities through the agreement.
Despite the scale of the deal, DragonBet will retain full control over areas tied to its customer proposition, brand identity and regulatory operations.
Founded by brothers David and James Lovell, DragonBet has its roots in the family’s long-standing racecourse bookmaking business, bringing genuine heritage to the brand.
Since launching online in 2022, the company has grown into one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent sportsbook and casino operators, built on a strong horse racing identity.
DragonBet expanded into Ireland at the start of 2026, receiving a Remote Bookmaker’s Licence in January, just ahead of sweeping regulatory changes under the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland.
The company has also been active on the marketing front as it works to grow its audience despite the increase in Remote Gaming Duty from 21% to 40% and a pending General Betting Duty rise from 15% to 25%.
BVGroup confirmed that DragonBet will serve as a flagship partner on BV:360 as the group continues to expand its B2B platform strategy for independently licensed operators.
Both companies have said they intend to collaborate on further development of the platform after the migration is complete, signalling an ongoing and evolving relationship.
David Lovell, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of DragonBet, described the agreement as a defining moment for the business going forward.
Lovell said: “This is a landmark agreement for DragonBet and an important investment in the long-term future of our business. We have ambitious plans for the next stage of our growth and recognised that achieving those ambitions requires continued investment in the technology and infrastructure that sits behind DragonBet.”
He added: “After an extensive evaluation process, we believe BVGroup provides the platform, capability and long-term roadmap to support those ambitions. Just as importantly, this partnership allows DragonBet to remain DragonBet.”
Lovell continued: “We retain the independence, identity and entrepreneurial approach that have driven our growth to date, while investing in a platform that gives us the foundations to scale for many years to come.”
BVGroup noted that “DragonBet has built one of the UK’s most distinctive independent betting brands, backed by an experienced management team and a clear long-term vision.”
