The SBC Summit’s Web3 & Crypto Academy is part of the event’s premium Education+ programme, bringing together Web3 specialists, crypto experts and industry leaders under one roof.
The Academy is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, at Sala Tejo, MEO Arena, giving attendees a structured environment to develop practical skills.
The full-day event is designed to help professionals build a clear roadmap for Web3 and crypto adoption within their own organisations.
Delegates will take part in expert-led workshops, case studies, live demonstrations, fireside chats, panels and presentations across a wide range of topics throughout the day.
Sessions will cover everything from the integration of crypto payments to blockchain’s specific role in strengthening player confidence across the gambling industry.
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, commented on why this topic matters so much right now for gambling operators looking to gain an edge on their competitors.
“In an industry as competitive as ours, it’s often the small things that have the biggest impact. Web3 and crypto can offer that advantage, whether it’s speeding up payments, expanding offerings or building greater player trust,” Sojmark said.
He added: “What’s so unique about this Academy is that it moves beyond discussing potential. It’s about showing attendees where Web3 and crypto payments can add real value and giving them the practical knowledge to start applying it within their own businesses.”
The Academy will open with a presentation titled ‘Crypto, Blockchain & Gambling: Where Are We Now?’, led by Simit Naik, Web3 Specialist at Teronade Group, examining where the technology is delivering real value today.
Naik’s session will also explore the roles that crypto, blockchain and hybrid models could play in shaping the future direction of the broader gambling industry.
A fireside chat titled ‘Trust on the Chain: Does Blockchain Really Make Gaming Fair?’ will take a closer look at blockchain’s relationship with fairness and player trust, including the opportunities and limitations of on-chain verification.
Gene Deyev, Co-Founder and CEO of Stobox, and Brett Calapp, CEO and Co-Founder of Turnt Gaming, will use real-world examples of crypto payments, on-chain verification and digital assets throughout their session.
The pair will demonstrate what a hybrid approach to Web3 integration can look like in practice for gambling businesses of varying sizes and structures.
Access to the Web3 & Crypto Academy is available exclusively through an Education+ Pass, priced as a 249 euro add-on to all SBC Summit and Affiliate Leaders Summit ticket types.
The Education+ Pass also grants holders access to all SBC Summit masterclasses, covering areas such as sportsbook trading, responsible gaming marketing and a range of other specialist subjects.
