Midnite has appointed Dale Tang as general manager of its Canada business, tasking him with leading the operator’s full launch into the market.
Tang announced the appointment himself via a LinkedIn post, confirming he had already commenced his new role with the online betting and casino operator.
Before joining Midnite, Tang spent five years at FanDuel, dedicating his entire tenure there to the company’s Canada-facing operation.
His most recent position at FanDuel was senior director for commercial, analytics and retention in Canada, a role that gave him deep market expertise.
Earlier in his career, Tang held various senior strategy positions with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, building considerable experience in Canadian gaming.
He also worked as a consultant for professional services provider BDO Canada at an earlier stage of his career.
In his LinkedIn post, Tang reflected on his time at FanDuel, writing: “Five years ago, I had the chance to join FanDuel Canada in its earliest days. Along the way, I learned from exceptional leaders and incredible peers – and most importantly, had the chance to build an amazing team I got to work alongside every day. Will always be rooting for every one of you!”
Tang explained his motivation for making the move, adding: “It’s been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career, which made this decision anything but easy. But the chance to build something new in Canada doesn’t come around often – so I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Midnite to lead its launch into the Canadian market.”
The Canada push represents the latest chapter in Midnite’s broader international expansion strategy, which has been backed by significant recent investment.
Earlier in 2026, Midnite secured $35m in Series C funding led by The Raine Group through its Raine Partners IV growth equity fund to support its growth ambitions.
That followed a $100m credit facility arranged with House Advantage Fund and PvX Capital, as well as a $10m Series B round raised last April to fund product development and user acquisition.
Following its most recent raise, Midnite stated that the funds would help facilitate operational scaling, accelerate product development, and prepare the business for international expansion.
Midnite originally launched in 2018 as an online sportsbook before broadening its product suite in 2023 to include horse racing and online casino offerings.
