SBC Summit is set to give delegates a comprehensive look at gaming’s fastest-growing regions through its dedicated Emerging Markets track in Lisbon this September.
The track takes place on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa, bringing together operators, regulators and regional experts under one roof.
Sessions will cover market entry strategies, player behaviour trends, regulatory change and the commercial conditions currently shaping growth across these promising territories.
The Emerging Markets track will open the Global & Emerging Markets Stage, one of six dedicated conference stages running throughout the summit.
Other stages include Regulation & Compliance, Technology, Payment Expert Summit, Product Innovation Showcase and the Super Stage at Lisbon’s MEO Arena.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said: “In today’s gaming landscape, spotting growth opportunities is only part of the challenge.”
A panel titled Africa’s New Rulebook: How Regulators Are Shaping a 45-Market Boom will break down licensing, taxation, anti-money laundering, data protection and player safety frameworks across key African jurisdictions.
The session will also examine which regulatory models are best positioned to support sustained, licensed commercial growth across the continent’s diverse markets.
Attention then shifts to Central and Eastern Europe with the panel CEE in Transition: From Established Giants to Emerging Opportunities, addressing rising taxes, tighter regulation and intensifying competition.
Speakers confirmed for that session include Ionut-Valeriu Andrei, CEO of Loteria Română, Mikolaj Cymerman, Chief Commercial Officer at Entain CEE, Giorgi Gvenetadze, COO at Flutter CEE, and Gega Topuridze, Deputy CEO of Betlive.
The track concludes with The Far East: Opportunity Rising, Tolerance Shrinking, examining regulatory developments across the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and Macau.
That closing session features Dominique Laconico, President and CEO of MegaBet+ and Scorebet, Keith McDonnell, Director at KMI Group, and Japneet Singh “Japs” Sethi, Chief Growth Officer South Asia at iGaming NDA.
Delegates wishing to continue regional conversations can attend SBC Summit’s new Regulatory Gaming Meetups, covering Africa, Asia, the Balkans, CEE, the Emirates and Eurasia.
These meetups provide a focused environment to connect with regulators, legal experts and regional decision-makers to discuss market entry and compliance challenges directly.
Access to the meetups is available to VIP, Business and Networking Pass holders attending the event.
SBC Summit runs from 29 September to 1 October 2026 across the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena, welcoming 40,000 industry professionals across three days.
