SBC Summit has unveiled the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups, a new networking initiative designed to connect delegates directly with regulators across more than 20 gaming jurisdictions.
The meet-ups will take place each day from September 29 to October 1 at the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Up Lounge, located at stand F4-17, during the 2026 event in Lisbon.
Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss market developments, regulatory changes, compliance requirements, and business opportunities with experts operating within the same regulatory environments.
Sessions are organised by jurisdiction and region, allowing delegates to focus specifically on the markets most relevant to their own business interests.
Regional coverage spans Eurasia, Latin America, Africa, Asia, North America, and European regions including the Balkans and Central and Eastern Europe.
The initiative also runs alongside the Regulation and Compliance Stage, which features sessions on global regulations, player protection, and compliance technology including the Player Protection Symposium.
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, explained the philosophy behind the new format in clear terms. “What we’re creating with the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups is direct access to the people responsible for shaping, interpreting, and navigating these markets every day,” said Sojmark. “That gives delegates the opportunity to ask better questions, gain practical insights that can’t be found in a report or presentation, and make more informed business decisions.”
The Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups represent one of the first major outcomes of SBC’s new partnership with the International Association of Gaming Regulators and the International Masters of Gaming Law.
Delegates can choose from 21 regulatory meet-ups covering jurisdictions ranging from Curacao and India to Finland, Scandinavia, the Baltics, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Asia, and North America.
Notable sessions include discussions on Finland’s new gambling market set to launch in summer 2027, covering the end of the state monopoly and potential changes to the new Gambling Act.
Delegates can also meet the heads of the Danish and Norwegian gaming authorities alongside key stakeholders from Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to discuss technology and regulation.
A session focused on the UK, Ireland, Gibraltar, Alderney, and the Isle of Man will cover everything from prediction markets to bonus regulations as both countries approach a pivotal regulatory moment.
In the wake of India’s gambling ban, a dedicated session will allow attendees to hear about ongoing legal challenges and discuss opportunities in fantasy sports, horse racing, and lotteries.
An Asia-focused session will allow networking with regulatory authorities from the Philippines to Macau and beyond, concluding with a cocktail reception at the end of Day 2.
Once the official SBC Connect app launches on August 24, delegates will be able to secure their spot and manage their meet-up schedule directly through the platform.
SBC Summit 2026 is expected to welcome 40,000 industry professionals to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena across three days of networking, exhibition, and education.
