Xpoint has launched a new fraud detection tool built specifically to catch organised abuse of betting and gaming promotions across North America.
The geolocation and compliance technology company has begun deploying its proprietary pattern-analysis engine with operator partners, targeting increasingly sophisticated fraudulent behaviour.
The tool is designed to identify groups that cycle the same devices, accounts, and locations in order to farm sign-up bonuses and exploit promotional offers.
Manu Gambhir, Xpoint CEO, said: “Attempts to defraud operators are becoming ever more coordinated and advanced, so operators need the best possible tools to spot areas of concern early.”
Gambhir added: “Our pattern-analysis engine examines historical data to uncover unusual patterns an operator needs to be aware of, without in any way adding friction to the player journey.”
He concluded that the engine “further underlines our commitment to innovative, adaptable compliance solutions for operators,” reinforcing Xpoint’s positioning in the compliance technology space.
Unlike traditional geolocation checks that assess each individual login in isolation, the new engine analyses historical location activity to surface patterns that develop over time.
Xpoint said these emerging patterns represent the tell-tale signs of coordinated fraud rings that standard individual checks would otherwise fail to detect.
The engine is specifically capable of identifying clusters of users who repeatedly appear together across different locations, particularly where some of those individuals have previously been linked to location spoofing.
Xpoint described that combination as a strong signal of an organised ring working together to abuse operator bonuses at scale.
Because these analyses are computationally intensive and difficult to run in real time, bad actors have historically been able to slip past conventional detection methods undetected.
The pattern-analysis engine instead operates in the background, working against historical data rather than attempting to flag suspicious behaviour mid-session.
This background approach means operators receive a clearer picture of coordinated threats without introducing additional friction or generating false positives that could block legitimate players.
Genuine customers experience no extra checks and no disruption to their journey, keeping the experience seamless while suspicious networks are quietly surfaced for operator review.
The launch follows a new investment round secured by Xpoint earlier in 2026, with funds dedicated to accelerating growth and enabling further product differentiation from competitors.
