Betr has announced the promotions of three senior executives to C-suite positions as the company pushes forward with ambitious growth plans in 2026.
Alex Ursa has been named chief operating officer, Alex Kuwada steps up to chief marketing officer, and Mike Denevi takes the title of chief content officer.
Ursa holds the distinction of being the very first employee hired at Betr, bringing a unique depth of institutional knowledge to his new leadership position.
He spent almost four years as head of gaming before this promotion, and will now lead product development and operations across the business.
A key part of Ursa’s expanded remit will be overseeing the continued development of what Betr describes as the industry’s first super app.
Before joining Betr, Ursa spent eight years across the Flutter organisation, giving him a strong foundation in large-scale gaming operations.
Kuwada joins the C-suite after arriving at Betr as head of marketing in July 2024, having previously spent six years with the FanDuel arm of Flutter.
His roles at FanDuel included senior director of growth and growth director, experience he will now draw on as he leads acquisition, retention, and VIP functions at Betr.
Denevi, the second employee ever hired at Betr after joining in April 2022, will take on responsibility for content and brand strategy in his new chief content officer role.
Prior to Betr, Denevi spent almost 10 years at Bleacher Report, including a spell as director of brand strategy, building a strong creative and editorial background.
Joey Levy, founder and CEO of Betr, expressed his confidence in the trio, saying: “We would not be where we are today without these three executives.”
Levy added: “I am thrilled to continue scaling Betr into a category defining business with them.”
The promotions arrive at a significant moment, as Betr prepares to launch its prediction markets product later in 2026 within the same app experience as its existing products.
Betr currently operates Betr Picks, Betr Social Sportsbook, Betr Social Casino, and Betr Arcade across the majority of the United States.
