SOFTSWISS, an international technology company with more than 15 years of experience in the iGaming industry, has partnered with South African organisations for the Responsible Gambling Summit 2025, reaffirming its dedication to promoting safe and sustainable play in one of its key growth regions.
Organised by the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation, the two-day summit will take place in Johannesburg from 13 to 14 November 2025. The event will unite regulators, operators, and industry experts to drive collaboration and strengthen harm minimisation strategies. The programme will cover key themes such as policy, compliance, innovation, and public education, alongside sessions on illegal market impacts, regulatory developments, and the role of technology in prevention and intervention. An expert from SOFTSWISS will take part in the panel discussion titled ‘Innovation, Technology, and Responsible Gambling’, which will examine emerging digital risks and mitigation strategies.
“Industry partnership is essential to keep responsible gambling and player protection visible, effective, and evidence-based across channels. We greatly value the commitment and partnership of prominent international companies, such as SOFTSWISS, whose support brings expertise and resources to these important initiatives in South Africa,” said Sibongile Simelane-Quntana, Executive Director at the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation.
“South Africa is a priority market for SOFTSWISS, and we are proud to support this summit’s mission to advance safer play through collaboration and technology,” added Miranda Guliashvili, Head of Regional Growth at SOFTSWISS. “We continuously apply responsible gambling best practices in our products to help operators build sustainable, compliant growth.”
Further underscoring its commitment to player safety, the SOFTSWISS Anti-Fraud team has achieved significant results this year. Between January and August 2025, the team prevented more than €15 million in fraudulent transactions, resolved over 56,000 cases, and processed 70 player complaints submitted to gaming regulators and forums. As fraud tactics evolve – including the use of AI-generated deepfakes during identity verification – SOFTSWISS continues to strengthen its tools and procedures to help operators maintain a secure and transparent gaming environment.
