OpenBet has completed a full platform migration for Switzerland’s Loterie Romande, marking a significant step in its strategy to become the sportsbook platform of choice for state lottery operators.
The migration moves Loterie Romande’s JouezSport omnichannel sportsbook entirely onto OpenBet’s own platform, covering online, self-service, and over-the-counter betting channels.
Loterie Romande serves as the state lottery for Switzerland’s six French-speaking cantons and operates across 2,350 point-of-sale retail locations nationwide.
The deal between the two organisations was signed in March 2026, roughly one year after OpenBet began its new chapter following a management buyout that separated the company from Endeavor Group Holdings.
That buyout, completed in March 2025, set OpenBet on an independent course after years under ownership by Endeavor Group Holdings, which has since rebranded as WWE Holdings.
Lottery operators were identified as a core strategic target for OpenBet as it entered that new era, with World Lottery Association members specifically in its sights.
Loterie Romande is a WLA member, and its migration onto the OpenBet platform is being described internally as a key milestone in the company’s broader ambitions within the lottery sector.
A new Cash Out feature is live at launch across Loterie Romande’s digital channels, reflecting the operator’s stated focus on improving the omnichannel experience for its players.
OpenBet’s Managed Trading Services provide Loterie Romande with AI-enhanced odds and risk management, while its Trading System platform delivers a multi-vendor orchestration hub for data, trading services, and scalable content access through a single integration.
Nikos Konstakis, President at OpenBet, commented: “We are delighted to continue our track record of delivering world-class technology and peerless scale to WLA members around the world.”
Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, CEO of Loterie Romande, added: “OpenBet’s sportsbook technology, track record and customer-centric approach meant that they were best placed to understand our specific requirements, and the natural choice to evolve the experience for our players.”
The Loterie Romande launch arrives during what OpenBet has described as a record year for the company, powered in part by a standout performance during the FIFA World Cup 2026.
OpenBet processed more than 175 million bets and took over $3 billion in stakes across its global platform customers during the tournament, which it identified as its largest betting event to date.
The company also reported zero platform outages from the opening match through to the final, underlining the operational resilience it has used as a selling point to lottery clients.
OpenBet now powers more than 20 lotteries worldwide, with the Loterie Romande partnership further strengthening its position as a leading technology provider for WLA members globally.
