SBC has signed a landmark long-term agreement confirming Lisbon as the permanent home of the SBC Summit through to 2030.

The deal was formalised with three key partners: Turismo de Portugal, the Municipality of Lisbon, and Lisboa FCE, a non-profit managing the city’s major exhibition and congress venues.

The agreement extends SBC’s commitment well beyond the previously confirmed 2027 edition, locking in dates and support for 2028, 2029, and 2030 as well.

Lisboa FCE’s involvement is particularly significant, as it oversees the management of the venues central to staging an event of this scale and ambition.

SBC Summit takes place across the combined footprint of Feira Internacional de Lisboa and the MEO Arena, giving organisers the capacity to deliver a world-class programme each year.

The event brings together exhibition space, conference sessions, networking opportunities, and entertainment that have become defining features of the Summit’s identity.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, spoke warmly about the decision to commit formally to the Portuguese capital for the foreseeable future.

Sojmark said: “We’re happy to formalise the way we feel by committing to this city till 2030. Onwards and upwards. The agreement gives SBC and our attendees and partners the stability to plan and invest for the future.”

António Ramalho, President of the Executive Board at FIL, also expressed enthusiasm, stating: “We are committed to working alongside SBC, supporting its ambitions and creating the conditions for the Summit to continue growing in Lisbon. Events of this scale and international reach are key to positioning Lisbon.”

The next edition of the SBC Summit is scheduled to return to Feira Internacional de Lisboa and the MEO Arena on 21-23 September 2027, with future editions now secured well into the next decade.
