Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke Says Company Will Profit From Any Market Shift

Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke has positioned the company to benefit from the gambling industry’s evolution, regardless of how the regulatory landscape ultimately develops.

The sportstech giant is targeting revenues exceeding $1 billion by the end of 2026, a milestone that would represent a landmark moment in the company’s growth trajectory.

Genius Sports previously reported group-wide revenue growth of 31% to $669.6 million for the full year 2025, underlining the pace at which the business has been scaling.

The acquisition of Legend has played a central role in accelerating that momentum, expanding the company’s capabilities and broadening its commercial footprint significantly.

Locke has spoken openly about the dual engines driving Genius Sports forward, pointing to both traditional sportsbook operators and the fast-emerging predictions market as key contributors.

In his own words, growth “whether that’s from the traditional online sports betting operators or whether that’s the expansion in the TAM that we’re getting with the prediction markets, it’s all very net positive for us.”

Prediction markets have become one of the most closely watched segments in the broader sports betting and iGaming space, attracting both regulatory scrutiny and considerable investor interest.

Genius Sports counts Kalshi and Polymarket among its two major prediction market clients, two platforms that have been at the centre of ongoing regulatory debate in the United States.

The US regulatory environment remains a battleground for prediction markets, with federal and state authorities continuing to debate the classification and oversight of these products.

Despite that uncertainty, Locke’s message is one of confidence, framing regulatory change not as a threat to Genius Sports but as another catalyst for revenue growth.

The company’s position across both conventional sports betting infrastructure and emerging predictions platforms gives it a rare degree of insulation against any single market outcome.

With the $1 billion revenue target firmly in sight, Genius Sports appears to be entering the second half of 2026 with considerable commercial momentum behind it.
