Super Technologies has announced a deal to acquire Crafting Technologies, a Romanian software development company headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, subject to customary approvals.
The acquisition marks a significant step in Super Technologies’ international expansion strategy, with Romania set to become its newest dedicated technology hub.
The new Cluj-Napoca centre will complement Super’s existing network of technology offices in Croatia, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, and the UK.
Across those existing locations, Super already employs more than 900 software engineers and developers, making the Romanian addition a notable extension of its global footprint.
As part of the initial rollout, Super plans to open 50 new roles in Cluj-Napoca and will integrate the Crafting Technologies engineering team fully into the group structure.
Albert Simsensohn, Deputy CEO of Super, said that Romania offers a mature and competitive technology ecosystem with access to specialised engineering skills essential to Super’s development strategy.
Simsensohn added that Cluj-Napoca combines a dynamic innovation environment with operational efficiency and proximity to Super’s regional hubs, making it a natural fit for expansion.
He also highlighted that Crafting Technologies brings a proven internal talent academy that trains engineers and develops existing talent, describing it as a key asset for Super’s long-term capacity building.
Gabriel Bota, Co-founder and CEO of Crafting Technologies, reflected on a decade of growth, saying the company grew “from a small group of passionate engineering friends into a business delivering critical systems for fast-growing companies.”
Bota described the move as a logical progression, citing a strong technical connection and a shared vision around accountability, speed, and building robust, scalable technology.
Crafting Technologies previously operated under the name Crafting Software before rebranding, having spent ten years building its reputation across the European technology sector.
Super Technologies operates commercially in Romania, Poland, Serbia, Greece, Belgium, and Brazil, positioning itself as a global technology company focused on the future of entertainment and sports fan experiences.
The addition of a Romanian engineering hub strengthens Super’s capacity to deliver technology solutions across its growing portfolio of international markets.
