Paf, the Finnish gambling operator, has completed the acquisition of Bell Casino, a company that runs gaming entertainment across more than 50 ferries and cruise ships.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed publicly, though both parties confirmed the transaction has been finalised and formalised.
Bell Casino’s brand will remain in place following the acquisition, with the business continuing to operate under its existing commercial model without significant structural change.
All 28 Bell Casino employees will be retained as part of the agreement, ensuring continuity across the company’s operations going forward.
Bell Casino founder Morgan Eliasson will continue in a senior advisor role, while his son Marcus Eliasson will remain in position as CEO of the company.
Paf stated that the acquisition will expand its Land and Ship business and extend its reach to additional ferry routes and destinations across Europe.
Bell Casino operates on vessels covering routes between Sweden, Germany, Poland, the Baltics, the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, significantly broadening Paf’s geographic footprint.
Together, the two companies will provide gaming entertainment onboard approximately 80 vessels, comprising around 1,500 gaming machines and 450 arcade games.
Paf CEO Christer Fahlstedt described the deal as “strategically important” for the company’s Land and Ship business, adding that it will allow Paf to continue developing its operations “over the long term.”
Land and Ship chief operating officer Lasse Danielsson said Bell Casino complements Paf’s existing business “both geographically and commercially,” highlighting the strategic alignment between both organisations.
Danielsson noted that the combined business creates scale advantages when investing in modernisation and new technology across the shared fleet of vessels.
“Together with Bell’s business, we will have the right foundation to continue investing and growing in the years ahead,” Danielsson said, outlining his confidence in the long-term direction.
Danielsson also expressed enthusiasm about future collaboration, stating: “I look forward to the positive opportunities and synergies that our combined operations can create.”
Bell Casino officially became part of the Paf Group on 1 June, marking the formal start of the two companies operating as a unified Land and Ship gaming business.
