Yggdrasil Launches 3 Piggies of Bank With Brand New Lock’em & Load’em Game Mechanic

Yggdrasil has released its latest slot title, 3 Piggies of Bank, putting a financial spin on the beloved classic fairy tale.

The game reimagines Mamma Pig as a wealthy banker who actively invests in her children’s real estate ventures, giving the story a distinctly modern angle.

Yggdrasil describes itself as a fast-growing slot developer, and this release continues the studio’s tradition of blending familiar themes with innovative gameplay mechanics.

The title introduces Lock’em & Load’em, Yggdrasil’s newest Game Engagement Mechanic, which forms the centrepiece of the bonus experience.

During the Lock’em & Load’em feature, special Coin symbols lock in place while players receive a set number of respins to land additional Coins and build their prize.

The feature begins with five respins, resetting each time a new Coin lands, and concludes either when respins are exhausted or the entire grid is filled with Coins.

All Coin values are then combined to determine the player’s final win, creating a compelling and escalating reward structure throughout the bonus round.

Players can unlock one of four special prizes during the bonus round, including Mini, Minor, Major and Grand prizes, ranging from 15 up to €1,000.

The game is built on a 5×3 reel layout featuring 25 paylines, low volatility, a 25.2% hit frequency, and a maximum multiplier of x5,625.

The headline RTP sits at 96%, though operators have the flexibility to select from lower configurations of 94%, 92%, or 90.5% depending on their market requirements.

Mamma Pig appears in the game as the Wild symbol and can expand to cover an entire reel, significantly boosting the chances of landing winning combinations.

Three distinct Piggie Coin symbols each unlock a different banking feature, specifically Collect, Double and Mystery, adding further variety to the bonus gameplay.

When players land six or more Wolf Coin symbols alongside a Piggie Coin, the Lock’em & Load’em bonus round activates and triggers the feature tied to that specific Piggie Coin.

A traditional Free Spins mode is also available, triggered when players land three Scatter Symbols during the base game, offering an additional route to bigger wins.

Jose Kadala, Chief Commercial Officer at Yggdrasil, said: “We wanted to give this familiar theme a very Yggdrasil twist. The characters, visual identity, humour and, most importantly, the gameplay have all been designed to feel distinctly Yggdrasil. The aim was to create something players instantly understand but then give them a fresh and unexpected experience once they start playing.”
