1xBet has signed a sponsorship agreement with Gowran Park, one of Ireland’s most historic racecourses, covering 15 fixtures over the next 12 months.

The partnership began on 7 August and will see 1xBet’s branding displayed across 15 National Hunt and flat races throughout the duration of the deal.

Beyond race sponsorship, 1xBet will also lend its name to the Owners’ Lounge and Stable Yard at the Kilkenny venue.

The agreement adds Gowran Park to a growing roster of Irish racing partnerships for the multinational betting firm, which has previously worked with both Punchestown and Curragh racecourses.

1xBet operates in Ireland as Terminus Platform Ireland Limited, holding a Remote Bookmakers Licence in the jurisdiction.

Ian Langstaff, 1xBet’s Ireland representative, expressed enthusiasm for the new relationship, highlighting the racecourse’s reputation as a key factor in the decision.

“We are delighted to partner with Eddie and his team at Gowran Park as we continue to strengthen our presence within Irish racing,” said Langstaff.

“Gowran Park is a racecourse with a proud history and an outstanding reputation, making it an ideal partner for 1xBet Ireland,” he added.

Langstaff also emphasised the broader benefits of the arrangement: “This partnership allows us to further support Irish racing, the people who work within the industry, and one of Ireland’s most respected racecourses.”

He concluded: “We look forward to a successful relationship with Gowran Park over the coming seasons.”

The deal arrives at a notable moment for the Irish gambling market, with the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland now taking charge of overseeing the sector.

Ireland remains a significant betting market, ranking among the 30 largest globally, with horse racing serving as a core product for operators active in the country.

According to Horse Racing Ireland, over one million people attended 390 racing fixtures in the country last year, underlining the sport’s strong domestic appeal.
