DraftKings Launches Multi-State Poker Network After Michigan Gaming Control Board Grants Approval

DraftKings has expanded its poker offering to players across Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania following regulatory approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board confirmed it has agreed to allow the multi-state poker product, with DraftKings’ own site also confirming the development.

Players across all three participating states have already been able to access the shared-pool poker product since 8 July 2026.

The approval was facilitated through DraftKings’ existing partnership in Michigan with the Bay Mills Indian Community, which has been central to the operator’s presence in the state.

Henry Williams, the MGCB’s executive director, said: “This approval reflects the strength of our partnership with Bay Mills Indian Community and the thoroughness of our regulatory process.”

Michigan joined the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement in 2022, becoming the newest member alongside Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

The MSIGA was first established between Delaware and Nevada in 2014, signed by Governors Markell and Sandoval, marking a US first that permitted cross-border virtual poker play.

Member states retain flexibility and discretion over which operators can offer products in their jurisdiction, meaning not every MSIGA state is covered by this latest approval.

Williams further commented on Michigan’s growing network, saying: “As Michigan’s multi-state poker network continues to grow, we remain focused on ensuring every operator meets the same high bar for fairness, security, and player protection.”

DraftKings has been partnered with Bay Mills Resort and Casino since 2020, initially to bring its remote sportsbook product to Michigan following the repeal of PASPA.

The operator received its Pennsylvania licence around the same period, while its New Jersey presence dates back to 2018, when the state pushed to legalise online sports betting.

DraftKings’ Electric Poker product first debuted on its online casino platform in 2024, marking the operator’s initial move into the online poker space.

The operator has been actively broadening its portfolio, having launched its proprietary prediction market exchange DKEX in June 2026.

DraftKings has also set out ambitions earlier this year to develop a so-called super app combining its predictions, gaming, and lottery products into a single platform.
