VF2011 Limited, a remote gambling operator registered in Alderney, has formally surrendered all of its UK Gambling Commission licences as of 9 March 2026, bringing an end to nearly a decade of regulated activity in the British online gambling market.

VF2011, which held account number 45110 on the Gambling Commission’s public register, operated under a series of remote licences that covered casino gaming, bingo, and both real-event and virtual-event general betting.

Its registered head office is listed at Millennium House, Ollivier Street, Alderney, GY9 3TD — a Channel Island jurisdiction that has long been a common base for remote gambling operations given its own established regulatory framework.

The Gambling Commission’s public register confirms that all four licences held by VF2011 Limited were surrendered simultaneously on the same date, suggesting a deliberate and coordinated withdrawal from the UK regulated market rather than a lapse or enforcement action.

Notably, VF2011’s record shows zero regulatory actions against it throughout its entire period of licensure.

This is significant in an industry where enforcement activity has become increasingly common, with the Gambling Commission having issued numerous fines and licence reviews against operators in recent years for failings related to anti-money laundering controls and safer gambling obligations.

VF2011 Limited first entered the UK regulated market with its remote bingo licence in April 2016, shortly after the Gambling Commission’s landmark 2014 licensing regime came fully into force.

That regulatory shift required all operators offering gambling to consumers in Great Britain to hold a UK licence, regardless of where they were physically based, fundamentally reshaping the online gambling landscape.

The company’s casino licence followed in July 2016, with its betting licences for both real and virtual events added later in December 2018.

The latter reflects a broader industry trend during that period, as many casino-focused operators sought to expand their product portfolios into sports betting and virtual sports to capture a wider share of player spending.

The public register lists four domain names associated with VF2011 Limited, though no trading names appear on record.

The absence of publicly traded brands or premises is consistent with an operator that may have functioned in a business-to-business capacity or behind white-label arrangements, though the Gambling Commission’s register does not specify the nature of its operations in further detail.

A surrender of this kind can occur for a variety of commercial or structural reasons.

Operators may exit the market voluntarily when they no longer serve UK customers, when corporate restructuring renders the licence redundant, or when the commercial cost of compliance no longer justifies maintaining a UK-facing operation.

The Commission’s rules require licensees to notify the regulator when they wish to surrender a licence, and the process is distinct from a revocation or suspension, which would typically indicate a regulatory failure.

With no outstanding regulatory actions and a clean compliance record over nearly ten years, VF2011 Limited’s exit from the UK market appears to have been an orderly one.

The UK online gambling sector continues to evolve rapidly, with the Gambling Act Review white paper having set out a series of proposed reforms that are reshaping operator obligations across the board.

Any consumer who believes they have an unresolved dispute with a gambling business that no longer holds a licence is encouraged to contact the Gambling Commission directly or seek assistance through an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution provider.
