BETBY’s Active Player Count Surges 82.7% As World Cup And Esports Fuel Standout Quarter

An extraordinary spike in user engagement defined BETBY’s third quarter, with active players across its sportsbook nearly doubling compared to the same period last year.

The sportsbook supplier reported an 82.7% year-on-year rise in active players for Q3 2026, a figure that significantly outpaced its already impressive gross gaming revenue growth of 33.4%.

Two major sporting spectacles drove much of that momentum, with the concluding stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Esports World Cup both falling within the quarter.

BETBY also credited its proprietary esports product, BETBY Games, as a key pillar of the performance, alongside sustained activity across its expanding international operator network.

The esports vertical delivered striking numbers of its own, posting a 32.2% year-on-year GGR increase, while bets placed on BETBY Games climbed 45.4% and its active player base surged by 123.3%.

Total bets placed across the wider sportsbook operation grew by 31.9%, reflecting broad-based demand rather than growth concentrated in any single vertical.

Product innovation also played a role during the quarter, with BETBY rolling out SlotBets and introducing Watch & Bet and User Chat as new features designed to deepen the sportsbook experience for users.

The company extended its geographic footprint in Q3 by entering Poland through partnerships with operators Lebull Poland and Betters, though the firm acknowledged the move had a limited impact on quarterly figures given the timing of the launch.

Those results sit within a strong overall year for BETBY, which reported in July that sportsbook GGR for the first half of 2026 was up 42.7% against the equivalent period in 2025, with active players up 47% and total bets up 21.2%.

Chief Executive Leonid Pertsovskiy pointed to consistency as the company’s guiding measure of success, saying: “We’re very pleased with our Q3 performance, particularly the significant increase in active players across both our sportsbook and BETBY Games. What matters most to us is not just achieving strong results in one quarter, but maintaining that consistency over time.”

With Poland now live, new engagement features bedding in, and the esports segment accelerating, BETBY enters the final quarter of 2026 with considerable operational momentum behind it.
