Playtech Plc has returned to bottom-line profitability in H1 2026, recording €113m in profits on the back of exceptional commercial execution across North and Latin America.

The LSE-listed gambling technology group has reaffirmed its confidence in meeting all full-year 2026 financial and corporate objectives following a strong first-half performance.

Group revenues reached €425m for the period, representing a 10% increase against 2025 comparatives of €387m across all core metrics.

Revenue from the US and Canada delivered the standout result, surging 161% to €57m as Playtech’s American partnerships continued to bear fruit.

Latin American revenue also performed strongly, growing 14% to €100m, which equates to 29% growth on a consistent underlying basis.

The US growth story was underpinned by Playtech expanding its iGaming and live casino content with FanDuel, Fanatics, bet365, and DraftKings across New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and additional states.

Playtech’s B2B unit was a significant contributor to group earnings, generating a 75% increase in adjusted EBITDA to €128m, compared to €73m recorded in H1 2025.

A further €34m was generated from income from key partnerships, up from €20m, including €30m from Playtech’s 30.8% holding in Caliente Interactive and a €4.4m dividend from Hard Rock Digital.

Playtech’s remaining B2C assets, which include Sun Bingo and HappyBet, generated a €200,000 contribution, reversing the previous year’s €1.5m loss.

CEO Mor Weizer stated that the group was seeing returns from previous investments “accelerate and contribute significantly” to profitability and cash flow.

Looking ahead to H2, Playtech expects earnings to reflect the anticipated normalisation of Hard Rock Bet’s Florida contribution alongside continued investment in a major strategic partnership in Brazil.

Playtech expects to sign that Brazilian partnership towards the end of 2026, and the group has already been onboarding new partners and expanding its local capabilities in the market.

The company also completed its São Paulo live casino studio, which offers locally tailored content delivered by Portuguese-speaking dealers, strengthening its footprint in one of the world’s most competitive emerging gambling markets.

Despite the anticipated H2 adjustments related to its Brazilian investment and Florida normalisation, the group remains firmly on course to deliver full-year adjusted EBITDA of more than €270m.

Playtech’s H1 2026 results mark a significant milestone for the business, validating the company’s long-term strategy of deepening regulated market partnerships across the Americas while maintaining lean B2C operations.
