Amusnet Gaming has obtained a conditional licence from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis commission, allowing the company to supply online gaming content to licensed operators in the province.
The licence marks another significant step in Amusnet Gaming’s broader North American expansion strategy, building on regulatory groundwork already laid elsewhere in Canada.
The achievement follows the company’s successful entry into Ontario earlier in 2026, further extending its regulatory footprint across the country.
Alberta’s iGaming market officially launched on 13 July 2026, establishing a regulated framework designed to uphold high standards of integrity, security, and player protection.
The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis commission oversees the province’s iGaming industry, including the registration and compliance of operators and gaming suppliers operating within its borders.
Amusnet Gaming was required to meet rigorous standards related to regulatory compliance, technology, security, integrity, and responsible gaming before the conditional licence could be granted.
By satisfying those requirements, the company has established the regulatory credentials necessary to support future operations and commercial partnerships within Alberta.
Julia Peeva-Sertov, chief executive officer of Amusnet Gaming, addressed the milestone directly, offering a clear statement of the company’s ambitions in the region.
Peeva-Sertov commented: “Securing a conditional licence in Alberta marks another significant step forward towards Amusnet Gaming’s expansion strategy in North America.”
She added: “Following our successful licensing in Ontario, this achievement further strengthens our position in Canada and reflects our continued commitment to the highest standards of regulatory compliance and integrity.”
Peeva-Sertov also noted: “We look forward to exploring opportunities in Alberta, building strong partnerships, and bringing our diverse portfolio to another regulated market.”
Alberta is viewed by Amusnet Gaming as an important jurisdiction within its long-term North American strategy, providing a strong regulatory foundation for future regional growth.
The company continues to identify further opportunities across North America and other regulated markets as it pursues sustainable international expansion.
