Digitain has announced a new partnership with UK challenger brand Silkbet, expanding its footprint in one of the world’s most regulated betting markets.

The Armenia-headquartered technology provider will deliver a full turnkey solution covering Silkbet’s entire UK online operations through the deal.

Silkbet secured its relevant licenses in May this year and is now positioning itself to compete in what has become an increasingly difficult UK market landscape.

The comprehensive platform Digitain provides includes sportsbook, horse racing, virtual sports, casino aggregation, CRM and payment capabilities all within a single integrated system.

The solution is also backed by Digitain’s core infrastructure and around-the-clock operational support, giving Silkbet a strong foundation from which to launch and scale.

As a UKGC-licensed technology provider, Digitain brings a strong track record of delivering scalable, flexible and innovative solutions within tightly regulated environments.

Silkbet faces considerable headwinds common to new UK market entrants, including rising taxes, stricter KYC requirements and competition from a growing black market.

Silkbet CEO Ed Kelly said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Digitain as we take this exciting step into the UK market. While the UK betting industry has evolved significantly over the past decade, we believe something valuable has been lost along the way.”

Kelly added: “By pairing Silkbet’s entrepreneurial approach with Digitain’s powerful technology, we’re creating a business that can innovate quickly, listen closely to customers and deliver an experience that stands apart from larger, more corporate operators.”

Dario Jurčić, CCO for Europe and Africa at Digitain, said the deal reflects the company’s broader commercial ambitions across the continent.

Jurčić commented: “Our continued expansion across Europe is a key part of Digitain’s commercial strategy, and partnerships such as this demonstrate the strength of our approach.”

He added that supporting operators in competitive regulated markets represents “an important differentiator” for Digitain as it continues its European growth journey.

Alexander Jones, Regional Sales Director for UK and Western Europe at Digitain, said: “We are delighted to welcome Silkbet as a new partner and to support its ambitions in the UK.”

The partnership signals Digitain’s continued commitment to strengthening its position in Western European markets at a time when demand for proven technology partners is intensifying.
