These performance factors also affect how many rounds players complete, whether they explore additional games and how effectively operators convert acquired traffic into sustained gameplay.
Infingame defines reaction time as the interval between a player action and the platform’s visible response, covering bet confirmations, spin starts and game loading.
The company’s aggregation infrastructure processes more than 10 billion transactions per month across a portfolio of over 16,000 games from 150-plus providers.
Analysis of this activity indicates that delays at any stage of the player journey create cumulative friction that reduces the commercial value of a session.

Infingame recommends measuring reaction time across the complete player journey rather than analysing spin duration alone, since other touchpoints also contribute significantly to friction.
Small delays create meaningful commercial losses at scale when repeated across every game launch, button press, bet confirmation, spin and transition between titles.
The effect becomes more visible among mobile-first audiences and players using unstable connections, where slow server responses combine with device limitations to raise the risk of abandoned sessions.
Speed-related friction is identified as most commercially damaging at the first game launch, immediately following a player action and during transitions between games or providers.
Elevated traffic periods during tournaments and promotional campaigns are also flagged as particularly vulnerable moments where performance issues can suppress commercial returns.
The first game launch after entering the lobby is especially critical because a slow opening can end a session before meaningful gameplay begins, wasting acquisition spend entirely.
