BoyleSports has confirmed it will be the title sponsor of the pre-season friendly between Manchester United and Leeds United at Croke Park in Dublin.
The match represents the first football fixture held at the famous Dublin venue since Ireland’s World Cup playoff tie against France back in 2009.
That 2009 fixture remains deeply embedded in Irish football memory, largely due to Thierry Henry’s infamous handball assist during the second leg at the Stade de France.
The game has already sold out, reflecting the enormous appetite for this fixture among the large Irish fanbase supporting both clubs.
It will be broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom and on Premier Sports in Ireland, giving the match significant free-to-air visibility across both territories.
That broadcast reach will provide substantial exposure for BoyleSports, whose branding will feature across official match assets, in-stadium signage, and television coverage throughout the event.
The fixture will officially be named the BoyleSports Cup 2026, a naming convention that follows a broader tradition of betting operators lending their name to pre-season club competitions.
From 2015 to 2024, West Ham United hosted a similar arrangement with the Betway Cup during their sponsorship partnership, making this kind of branded friendly a recognised format.
The sponsorship builds on BoyleSports already becoming Leeds United’s official UK and Ireland betting partner in a recently announced multi-year commercial deal.
BoyleSports branding is also set to appear around Elland Road during the upcoming Premier League season, including LED advertising boards on matchdays throughout the campaign.
The company will also be delivering various fan activations around the match, adding an experiential dimension to their involvement beyond straightforward broadcast and stadium branding.
Liam McKee, Head of Sponsorship at BoyleSports, said: “As official betting partner of Leeds United, we’re delighted to be title sponsor of the BoyleSports Cup 2026, for what promises to be a brilliant occasion.”
McKee added: “This is exactly the kind of moment we want BoyleSports to be part of. Two big clubs, passionate supporters and a matchday experience that brings real energy to fans.”
He continued: “Croke Park is an iconic venue, and we’re looking forward to playing our part in making the Manchester United v Leeds United, BoyleSports Cup 2026, a memorable fixture for supporters in Ireland and beyond.”
A spokesperson for match promoters TEG noted: “Manchester United v Leeds United is one of football’s most compelling fixtures, wherever it is played, and bringing it to the iconic Croke Park stadium will make the occasion even more memorable.”
