Esports betting specialist DATA.BET has signed a new partnership with Hollywoodbets, South Africa’s most prominent sports and entertainment betting operator.
The deal gives Hollywoodbets access to DATA.BET’s full esports betting ecosystem, enabling the operator to launch a comprehensive product with minimal integration complexity.
Hollywoodbets was specifically seeking a provider capable of delivering depth of coverage, in-house trading expertise, and a fast route to market in the growing African esports betting space.
The integration includes a Single Page Application iFrame, Odds Feed, Bet Builder, Widgets, and Streaming, all backed by fully managed risk and trading services.
Players will have access to 770+ markets across 30+ disciplines and more than 10,000 events each month, covering titles including CS2, Dota 2, Valorant, League of Legends, and Rainbow Six.
DATA.BET manages all processes behind the scenes, maintaining market availability above 90% and system uptime at 99.99%, ensuring a consistent experience for bettors.
Otto Bonning, Head of Sales at DATA.BET, explained the value of the arrangement for Hollywoodbets from the outset: “This partnership is about giving Hollywoodbets a complete esports product they can launch with confidence.”
Bonning added: “The iFrame removes integration complexity, and with risk management and trading on our side, they get strong margins and a consistent user experience from day one.”
He also noted that “esports is an emerging vertical in South Africa,” and that both companies are aligned on a clear roadmap to develop the category together.
Hollywoodbets is a well-established South African betting brand, recognised for its mobile-first approach and strong customer engagement, with notable sponsorships including the Hollywoodbets Sharks and Hollywoodbets Dolphins.
Wayde Dorkin, Head of Product at Hollywoodbets, described the launch as a meaningful development: “The launch of esports is an important milestone for us, given that the category has become a major part of the global sports and entertainment landscape.”
Dorkin continued: “Through our partnership with DATA.BET, we are able to bring customers a comprehensive esports experience featuring extensive tournament coverage, live streaming, in-depth statistics, and a wide range of betting markets.”
The partnership also represents a significant step in DATA.BET’s broader expansion into the African market, reinforcing its position as a technology partner for operators entering the esports betting vertical.
