Infingame And The Playa Reveal How AI Personalization And Recommendation Systems Are Reshaping iGaming Retention

Infingame, a leading iGaming aggregator, has outlined how recommendation systems and real-time AI personalization are becoming central competitive tools for modern operators.

The company says acquisition costs are rising, player behavior is growing less predictable, and retention cycles are shortening across mobile-first markets worldwide.

Infingame argues that operators can no longer rely solely on historical reporting or static segmentation models to sustain meaningful player engagement over time.

Instead, platforms are investing in systems that adapt the player experience in real time, serving personalized game recommendations and building dynamic lobbies around individual behavior.

One of the biggest challenges operators face today is the speed at which player behavior shifts across mobile environments, with shorter sessions and fragmented engagement patterns making static CRM logic less effective.

Infingame recently partnered with The Playa, an AI-driven personalization platform focused on recommendation systems and behavioral intelligence, to integrate these capabilities directly into its aggregation ecosystem.

The Playa’s approach centers on machine learning models that adapt experiences to each player individually in real time, replacing manual rules and static configurations with continuously evolving systems.

In one implementation across two European markets, lobby personalization driven by recommendation systems delivered 12-16% growth in average turnover per user, a 9-12% increase in active days, and 13-32% more game variety explored per player.

Those results compounded across each monthly cohort without any increase in marketing spend, highlighting the efficiency gains available through behavioral personalization at scale.

More broadly, operators using The Playa’s tools typically see 5-15% growth in bets and lifetime value, with up to 25% total revenue uplift, with the strongest gains appearing in smaller or newer markets.

Viktoriia Grygorenko, CEO at The Playa, commented: “Predictive analytics tells you who’s about to churn or who could become a VIP. But a prediction on its own doesn’t change anything. The player feels the difference only when the experience adapts to them. That’s what recommendation systems do. The lobby becomes the place where all that behavioral insight actually reaches the player.”

Infingame notes that AI personalization now addresses content affinity, engagement timing, churn risk, campaign responsiveness, volatility preferences, and cross-category migration patterns simultaneously.

One of the fastest-growing applications identified by Infingame is early VIP detection, where AI models identify high-value behavioral patterns within the earliest stages of a player’s activity.

Operators are also moving toward dynamically configured engagement mechanics, including personalized tournaments, progression systems, time-sensitive challenges, and recommendation-driven player journeys tailored to individual behavior.

Dmytro Kryvorchuk, COO at Infingame, noted: “AI personalization allows platforms to understand what each player wants to see, which mechanics will resonate strongest, and when to act while it still matters.”

Infingame concludes that the platforms growing fastest over the coming years will be those capable of personalizing experiences instantly and adapting engagement continuously while the player remains active.
