BVGroup and ThrillTech have announced the first UK Community Jackpots payout, sharing a massive prize pool among 501 winners simultaneously.
The milestone drop was powered by ThrillTech’s proprietary ThrillPots engine, marking a significant first for the UK iGaming market.
The main winner, playing on BVGroup’s flagship BetVictor online casino, took home a life-changing prize of £488,035.59.
At the same time, 500 additional players across BVGroup’s portfolio of UK iGaming brands were each notified of a £976.07 share in the Epic Community Jackpot win.
The brands involved included BetVictor, Heart Bingo, Smooth Spins, Betano, Parimatch, and TalkSPORTBET, all of whose players contributed to the shared prize pool.
The jackpot was specifically configured to allocate 50% of the total prize to the main winner, with the remaining 50% distributed across all contributing players.
Peter Mareš, Chief Technical Officer at ThrillTech, described the event as a genuine industry milestone for operators and players alike.
“This is the first community jackpot of its kind in the UK, enabling operators to reward hundreds or even thousands of players with a single jackpot instead of just one,” Mareš said.
“Distributing these payouts at scale requires absolute precision. Our robust technology effortlessly handles the complex mathematics and has advanced protocols in place to ensure that all payouts are delivered exactly as intended.”
This historic community drop follows closely on the heels of another major payout on BetVictor’s “The Jackpots” product, also driven by ThrillPots technology.
Last month, a single BVGroup player took home a staggering £1,531,130 from that separate jackpot event.
Side bet, opt-in jackpot prize pools are player funded, offering an added layer of engagement above the base casino game or sports wagering activity.
By leveraging ThrillTech’s multi-strategy community payout technology, operators can now share the excitement of a major jackpot drop with hundreds of players at once, rewarding loyalty at unprecedented scale.
