As the firm gets closer to its upcoming Series A round, Betty, the online casino with a focus on women, revealed today that it has secured $5 million in pre-Series A investment lead by CEAS Investments.

Powerhouse Capital, HappyHour, and Courtside Ventures are also involved in the financing. Betty has already raised $7 million.

Betty has created a distinctive online casino experience by leveraging the strength of the female gambling audience. With an emphasis on gamification, transparency, and community-based play, Betty’s service is specifically designed with female gamers in mind.

“Betty has successfully implemented best practices from the most successful mobile gaming franchises into the real money iCasino market. We have seen firsthand how these strategies can supercharge user growth and revenues,” said Salim Mitha, Managing Partner at Powerhouse Capital and former EVP at Playtika.

Since its inception in February 2023, Betty, which is licenced by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), has been rather popular in Ontario, the largest province in Canada. With a run rate of eight figures in net sales, Betty has increased 30% month over month since her introduction.

The most recent round of funding will be used to enhance live operations capabilities, increase user acquisition, and transform Betty’s unique proprietary platform from Midnight 1 to Midnight 2.

Robin Reed, Managing Partner at HappyHour stated:

“Betty has a clear vision and plan to differentiate themselves in the market by prioritizing female online slot players and by building an in-house platform. It’s a privilege to support their growth, both in terms of capital and product expertise, and we look forward to continuing on this exciting path together.”
